Please keep in mind the following while completing the form:

1) If you will be home for all or part of Pesach, you must itemize the locations in the house where you will be keeping the Chometz. You do not have to list the types of Chometz.

2) Make sure to include all locations (office, bungalow, etc.)

3) If you will be away for Pesach, make sure to include the combination to your house or the phone number of a neighbor who had the key to your home.

4) If you are also selling Chometz on behalf of someone else, make sure to write "and on behalf of so and so" and to list the individual's address.

Ma'os Chitim

Purim has passed, and Pesach is coming. Once again sadly, Rav Weinberger has no shortage of aniyim requesting assistance to make Pesach. You may contribute on the Shul Website or mail checks out to AishKodesh, P.O. Box 361, Woodmere, N.Y. 11598, and memo the check for Maos Chittim.  Please do this early to allow Rav Weinberger time to distribute the funds.

At any time, should you wish to contribute to Rav Weinberger's Gemach Fund, you may do so on the shul website or via check with a memo for the Gemach Fund.

As in past years we are also recommending that you support the Leon Mayer Fund administered by HaRav Simcha Lefkowitz, as part of your Maos Chittim contributions. This year the needs have increased greatly, including among the residents of our own community.

The Leon Mayer Fund, established 20 years ago to help those in need, desperately needs your added support. For many who we will reach, this act of Chesed, though life saving, is temporary -- they will soon, B'Ezras Hashem, be back on their feet and in future years they themselves will be sustaining others. In the interim, they - and we - need you.

The families that receive assistance from the Leon Mayer Fund are handpicked, needy families. Each family is contacted personally to ascertain their individual needs. The packages are delivered discreetly and many are unaware of where it is coming from. Much time and effort is put in to ensure that everything is done correctly and that the respect of the recipient is maintained.

Through special arrangements with food providers, for $700 the fund will provide in excess of $1200 of food for a family. As most of these families have many children, we have begun including new suits and dresses as well.

As you are m'sameach with your family, please consider a $700 gift to allow another to share your table of Simcha. Please make your checks out to the Leon Mayer Fund and give them to Binyomin Beinish (Ben) Cohen.

M'Vorchim HaChodesh Kiddush

Our next M'vorchim HaChodesh Kiddush will take place on Shabbos on May 11/6 Iyar. We invite you to join with us.
